萧邦的夜曲很多人都演奏过。个人比较喜欢Martha Argerich 这位女钢琴家的版本，很少人能把夜曲弹得那么河蟹。当然要讲严谨恐怕还是鲁宾斯坦的来的好些。至于Jacques Loussier 首先出于对爵士的偏爱。自然在演奏上具有比波普的特征。深沉不失爵士的飘逸。如果喜欢之前传过那张巴赫的改变作品，那这张独奏作品能让身体再一次飘起来。随著绵长细致的琴声，于斑驳星光下寻觅化外之境。
贾克‧路西耶此次以独奏的方式，来詮释萧邦作品中，让人感觉不到小节线和节奏存在的抒情音乐。对於爵士即兴，这些乐曲是一大挑战，因为萧邦在这套音乐中的写作核心，本身已带有浓厚的即兴和装饰气味，而路西耶成功地以爵士酒吧风味的弹奏化解两种音乐之间的隔阂。

Jacques Loussier has made a career out of playing classical themes in a jazz setting. Born in France in 1934, he came to fame in the late 1950s with his Play Bach Trio, a group that stayed together 20 years, transforming the themes of Bach into creative and melodic jazz. Since then he has put together another trio in which he interprets not just the music of Bach but Beethoven, Debussy, Ravel, Satie and other classical giants. This set (which is subtitled Impressions on Chopin's Nocturnes) is a bit of a departure in that Loussier performs Fryderyk Chopin's 21 nocturnes as unaccompanied piano solos. Nocturne No. 2 in E-Flat Major, Op, 9., No. 2 is the most famous of these melodies although a few of the other nocturnes may be familiar even to non-classical listeners. Generally Loussier states the right-hand melody while altering the patterns written for the left-hand, and then builds from there. The essence of Chopin's music is retained while Loussier is free to improvise his own ideas based on the themes. Most of his interpretations are gentle and subtle while never neglecting the rich melodie,s and the treatments are at times slightly reminiscent of early film music and ragtime. Classical purists may not love this approach but they should be thankful, for Jacques Loussier has consistently introduced the beauty of classical music to jazz listeners. 从第一次听到贾克.路西耶我就爱上他了...因为他把我喜爱的巴哈+JAZZ,一切是融合的那么自然不作做,著实的A+B>无限 ^^..我!超!爱!啦!
跨界音乐（Cross over）这个名词在台湾逐渐被贬低、滥用：古典、爵士、流行互跨；国语、台语、客家语、原住民语互跨；三教九流都能填词、写书；年轻的歌手唱老歌、用胡琴拉莫札特的也算跨界、甚至连「无师自通」的也算。我们仔细思考一下：如果跨界音乐被定义是异质的音乐领域彼此之间的交流、融合与对话，激发出新的音乐成果与想法，而形成一种新的音乐风格，那么对听眾而言，就可以藉此去接触他平常所不熟悉的音乐类型，音乐市场才会日趋多元而成熟，跨界音乐存在的价值与功能就能被突显。
(me:是啊!就像我真的觉得某台语女歌手的某些歌很怪:编曲是jazz R&B,唱腔有很多转音...可是不知道她是要台语道地的转音还是要R&B的转音...就听到她一直转一直转.....然后...一整个很怪异的FU充满了我的耳朵...可能我潜意识觉得台语和R&B无法互融吧!)
法国籍的钢琴演奏家贾克．路西耶（Jacques Loussier）的「巴哈灵感」（Play Bach）被公认是唱片史上第一张跨界音乐专辑，他在1960年以爵士乐三重奏的组合，全盘演奏音乐之父巴哈的作品，可以说是唱片史上的创举。1934年出生，天赋异秉的贾克．路西耶原本立志想成为一位古典钢琴演奏家，曾拜在巴黎国立音乐学院的教授、同时也是音乐大师圣桑及著名钢琴家教育家Louis Diemer的弟子 ─ Yves Nat门下。学成之后，17岁的贾克便开始旅行，当他抵达法属加勒比海地区时，便深受当地的文化所影响。等到他1959年返回巴黎时，便坚信可以现代爵士（Modern Jazz）的即兴乐风来詮释巴哈的音乐，这在当时可说是引起极大的震撼，古典与爵士两派人马皆斥为荒唐、无稽、矫情。贾克依旧坚持己见，成立了三重奏，结果他成功的打破了时间与文化的藩篱，让广大的海内外乐迷接受了这样的音乐，15年间一共卖出600多万张唱片，形成了一股「路西耶旋风」，评论界无法归类这种音乐类型，於是便以跨界（Cross over）音乐来定义，贾克．路西耶顺理成章的成为跨界音乐的开山祖师。期间，还获邀在摇滚乐团平克佛洛伊德（Pink Floyd）的经典专辑「The Wall」演出，并与歌手艾尔顿强、史汀合作
This collection is a masterpiece on it's own!
What we listen is Loussier impressions on Chopin's nocturnes, not the nocturnes themselves. Great! It's just the thing LISZT would like to compose, since he loved to discuss at the piano through paraphrases on other composers. Some of them are so amazing that we could easily consider them a new masterpiece since Chopin.
This is really what I call creativity. By listening to these miniatures, we finally understand what creativity means. I ofter have some points against some of the pieces Loussier plays with Trio, but after listen carefully to these pieces , I have to say this man has moments of geniality.
One of the most interesting to my taste if what he did with Chopin's nocturne Op 55 # 2. Incredible. I cannot guess what Chick Corea, Keith Jarrett, or even Herbie Hancock could made it better. Amazing!
Buy it! You don't know what you're missing!
And, please, Mr. Loussier, do record more Solo Piano. By listening to the Nocturnes, I'd like to hear the Waltzes, Scherzos, Impromptus, Polonaises, etc...you have discovered a brand new world!
